HWBC’s 2016 Six Nations Armchair Pundit Winner Announced

Congratulations to Jason Finch of AIB Investments who is the winner of HWBC’s Annual Six Nations Armchair Pundit Competition. John Middleton of Harvest Financial Services, Paul Sinnott of Centaur Fund Services, Jason Byers of Kennedy Wilson and Tony Whitmore of SSGA all finished in a 4 way tie for second place, with Karl O’Donovan of The Building Consultancy finishing in 3rd place. Prime Office Rents Could Rise As much As 18% in 2016

HWBC has upgraded its forecast for 2016 prime office rents and predict they could rise as much as 18% to €65 per square foot (or €700 psm) by the end of the year. For more on this story see here.

HWBC Advise Credit Suisse on the Purchase of Golden Island Shopping Centre, Athlone

HWBC advised their client Credit Suisse on the purchase of Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone.  Credit Suisse acquired the shopping centre for €43.5M reflecting a net initial yield of nearly 7%.  Golden Island is the dominant centre in the region and provides a retail offering of over 14,320 sq.m. (154,141 sq. ft.).  The scheme is anchored by Tesco & Penneys with a strong supporting lineup including Wallis, Argos, Boots and Elverys Sports.  For more on this story see here.

Childers Road Retail Park, Limerick on the market at €44M Guide Price

Joint agents HWBC and DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald are bringing Childers Road Retail Park in Limerick to the market. Childers Road is the dominant park in the region with occupiers including Dunnes Stores, Next, Burton, Smyths Toys, Boots and Heatons. HWBC Predict Dublin Office Rents to Soar

HWBC Agrees Letting of Park House, Blackpool Retail Park, Cork to Teamwork.com

HWBC along with joint agents DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald have agreed a new lease for three floors of offices at Park House in Blackpool Retail Park, Cork to Teamwork.com on behalf of the Landlord.  The letting comprises 1,480 sq m (15,940 sq ft) of office space on a new 10 year lease at a rent of €161.45 per sq m (€15 per sq ft).  Park House was recently refurbished to include air conditioning, suspended ceilings, raised access floors and fully fitted WCs and tea stations on each level.  For more on this story see here.   .
